About

Janet K. Nicolson was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and has lived in the ice and cold ever since. She started writing when she was very young and hasn't stopped. Her family also jokes that she has never stopped talking, which potentially led to her pursuing a career in communications.

She loves reading hard SF and writes a variety of genre fiction, including small town Canadian SF, other-world fantasy, and space spanning hard SF ventures. She is determined to re-write her trunk novel and get it published, especially since this blog's title is a word-play on something from the book; it's no fun if it's just an inside joke.

When she is not working as a tech writer at a telecomm, she is writing speculative fiction, polishing her video game skills, and trying to catch that darn 20 lb. Northern Pike with her "Ready-2-Fish" fishing kit.
